Live, Online Certificate Program

The Protocol School of Washington's flagship etiquette course is now available in a live, online instructor-led format that will prepare you to train others on business protocol, executive entertaining, professional image, and cultural awareness. Interested in preparing the next generation of professionals?

This course consists of 10 weeks of expert instruction with 3-4 hours of live training each week, plus 1-2 hours of pre-work to be completed prior to each class session. All graduates will receive 4.05 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the successful completion of the Intercultural Etiquette and Protocol Trainer online course. The school is accredited by The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) which is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the U.S. Department of Education. 

Course materials include: 

  • Trainer manual materials;
  • Six seminar facilitation guides with instructional notes;
  • Matching PowerPoint presentations and digital workbooks;
  • A framed certificate of completion.

Intercultural Etiquette and Protocol Trainer is a comprehensive ten-week program providing expert, interactive instruction preparing participants to train others on intercultural etiquette, business protocol, executive entertaining, professional image and cultural awareness in both a face-to face classroom and live on-line Instructor-Led Distance Learning formats. In today's fast-paced world, there is an unprecedented demand for expert training and guidance in etiquette and protocol.

Objectives:

  • In-depth learning on current behaviors and accepted practices in protocol and etiquette;
  • Intercultural sensitivity and understanding for today's complex environments;
  • An understanding of how to assess organizational training needs to clearly outline learning objectives and expected outcomes;
  • Learn and demonstrate training facilitation and presentation skills for imparting knowledge to others in both face-to-face and instructor-led distance learning (online/virtual) modalities.

Tuition includes training materials, eLearning lessons and workbook, and a digital certificate of completion.

PSOW's instructor-led distance learning is delivered over Zoom** and the PSOW Learning Management System. No software purchase is necessary. Students will be invited as guests from PSOW's accounts.

Participation in the PSOW online courses requires:

  • Intermediate level proficiency in spoken and written English. All lessons/modules, class assignments, and breakout sessions are conducted in English. All materials are provided in English.
  • An internet connection - broadband wired, wireless, or mobile (3G or 4G/LTE). Recommended bandwidth of 2.5mbps (up/down).
  • A computer (desktop or laptop), tablet, or mobile device.
  • Speakers and a microphone - built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in
  • Supported browsers - Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. 

* Access via mobile device will require downloading the Zoom Application version 5.0. 

** To ensure the privacy of all attendees, students will enter a "waiting room" for each virtual class, allowing the training manager to vet attendees prior to entry. In addition, Zoom meetings have been set up with password protection.  The recording feature has been disabled for trainees and at no time will PSOW record trainees during a virtual class without their explicit consent.
